The program emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance as students collaborate to bring their robot designs to life. Team members participate in at least three competitions each school year and are expected to attend weekly practices, Saturday boot camps, and all-day Saturday competitions held in Knoxville and other parts of Tennessee, with parents providing transportation. Each spring, rising 3rd–5th graders can apply through STEM class, and successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and stay determined through challenges.
